Tension Management & Relaxation

I published Tenson Management & Relaxation with CV Mosby/Times Mirror in 1982. Relaxation Therapy was a central component of the overall program, as was our first, paper and pencil version of the Personal Change Indicator, (PCI) now free on this Blog. We now measure over 1500 personal concerns, versus 52 concerns on the original version. The current online This is Me! report also does the analysis for you, and PCI results are immediate.

With RT facilitating Relaxation Skills and the PCI facilitating Stressor Identification Skills, the process of Tension Management and Relaxation was well on its way.

Your interest in self-navigation and self-care is central to this Blog. It's about what you want to and can do for yourself. It's about Internal Locus of Control, a central construct of Julian Rotter's Social Learning Theory (SLT). I was Dr. Rotter's lead research associate for several years and a dedicated student of SLT, the first Cognitive-Behavioral Psychological Theory - with a genuine scientific foundation and supporting research data. Simply stated, SLT offers a model for solving human problems and this is what yes your voice matters is all about.

Throughout this Blog, you will observe a consistent emphasis on education, self-care and internal locus of control. Our society is deeply troubled economically and people are seeking change. Yes, change is needed and this proceeds at its best, one person at a time. This Blog has one simple, fundamental objective: I want to help you better help yourself.
